Saad Abudayeh (Arabic: سعد أبو دية‎), is an author, researcher, and a leading Jordanian intellectual. Abudayeh was born September 11, 1946 in the southern town of Ma'an. Abudayeh earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Jordan, in Amman, Jordan. Having scored the 2nd highest in two qualification exams, Abudayeh was awarded a scholarship sponsored by the USAID for graduate studies in the United States. Abudayeh received his masters degree in public administration from the Pennsylvania State University in 1975. He earned his doctorate from Cairo University in international relations in 1982 with the honor degree.

Abudayeh started his professional career with the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he was appointed as a special consul in Jordanian Embassy in Cairo. Abudayeh moved back to Jordan where he joined the Yarmouk University faculty as an assistant professor in the political science department. Abudayeh was promoted to a Full Professor in Political Science in 1996.

His Majesty King Abdullah II has conferred the Independence Medal (Arabic: وسام الاستقلال‎), on Abudayeh in recognition of his distinguished contributions.

Abudayeh was named as an honorary citizen of Dallas, TX.

Abudayeh has a weekly column in the online Jordanian newspaper Ammonnews. He also has a daily radio show on Amen FM, a local radio station.

Abudayed appeared as a guest speaker at the For a Nuclear Weapon-Free Middle East .[1] He also authored a paper titled "The Jordan press Attitude Toward peace Process In Ten Years" at a peace conference in the US .[2]
